Walk into any cathedral in Spain and there is someone sitting on the steps asking for change. Most people walk by them as if they are not there. I have been guilty of this one too many times.

Today was different. I walked past this lady to observe architecture, culture, and art. I was having a wonderful conversation and enjoying time with a friend.

I honestly didn't have much in my pockets. I was counting my change to get a decent glass of wine and a tapas or two. But as I walked to the exit, I saw sadness. I saw loneliness. I someone in need and my heart hurt.

Anne Frank said no one has ever become poor by giving. I gave her my change and in turn she let me take this image of her. I pray she is safe and dry tonight.
